Here is something that deserves some thought though.
A lot of people have speculated as to what is going on in the McCain camp these days. Tension is the word being used. Here are my thoughts. Sarah Palin is incredibly uneducated. She is far from ready to lead the United States of America. To that extent, she is not fit to govern Alaska in my opinion. I get sick of seeing her play the “executive experience” card. The tension we hear about is Sarah Palin coming to the realization that John McCain took advantage of her relative inexperience, young age, looks, and gender to rally the Republican base. She initially convinced herself she really was qualified to be the potential president. She was confident that John McCain picked her because of her experience and “small town values.” As she delved into the world or presidential politics, she couldn’t help but to become self-aware of her inability to lead this great nation. I think she wants to remain a leading figure in the GOP and actually thinks she can make a run in 2012. For now, Sarah Palin has realized that she is a pawn in the Republican’s sick game of chess they are playing with America’s future and she doesn’t like it. Sarah, for your resilience to this, I salute you.
Here is one last point thought…If we take Palin for face value and realize that there were many experienced candidates, some even female, that John McCain could have picked one must ask, why didn’t he? Well, he did vet some leading GOP figures prior to picking Palin on a whim. What does this say about the candidates he vetted? Skeletons in the closet. It is the only answer. With knowledge of GOP corruption, the notion of an inexperienced maverick from Alaska made complete sense to McCain at the time.
